Wow. Four hours and we have enough people to run a buy… I’ll continue accepting expressions of interest in case anybody ghosts or we get enough people to fill a second pool.
Here’s the form to determine budget, timing and level of interest. Places are limited and will be offered in the order people fill out this survey, once I’ve got a solid buy-in price. Participation will be capped to 15 people at 40USD, or 20 people at 30USD.
This buy’s star player is Xiaguan, Eidolon of Testicular Fortitude.
Buy-in will be 30-40USD plus shipping from LA to you. International peeps, count on 9-16oz final package weight.

The first five teas are sourced straight from mx-tea, while the last three teas are sourced from private Taiwan vendors with a strong track record. This buy is less of a gamble, and more a horizontal/diagonal tasting set so that people can get a reasonable grasp of what Xiaguan productions have to offer at various stages of middle-age, given clean moderate storage intensity. It’s also a good opportunity to see how some of the better Xiaguan productions compare to often-much-costlier Dayi productions of similar vintage.

The buy is for the base and “fancy” teas combined (providing there is enough interest to fund them, which there certainly is at this point). It’s not logistically feasible to split the sets at this stage – I apologise for making the post unclear for newcomers.
If you’re still interested in the combined set, go ahead and fill out the form; the initial buy is full, but we’re pretty close to being able to fill a second run already.

In this case (GB4), aggregation of recommendations from a couple of knowledgeable friends who’ve either tried the productions or heard good things about them from people who have tried reasonable breadth of XG productions.
There are still no guarantees here, but I’m relatively optimistic.
