Not long ago, Sean sent me a pot – a twin to my own 65ml zini shuiping – which was lending an unpleasant taste to some of his teas and clogging on a hair-trigger. While I haven’t touched the first issue yet (which I suspect might just be a lack of seasoning), it did provide another opportunity to try my hand at improving the pour.
The short version is that thin tapered diamond burrs and a light touch will make short work of rough clay bits, which can block the airhole, filters and interior spout wall.
